Certifications and Education
In addition to having a Florida Real Estate Broker's License, I hold a B.A. from the University of Florida and a Masters of Business Administration from Florida International University.  I have also earned the prestigious Council of Residential Specialists Designation, the Graduate Realtor Institute Designation, the Accredited Buyer Representative Designation, and the e-PRO Internet Professional Certification.

The CRS, Council of Residential Specialists Designation, has been attained by only 4% of the top real estate agents in the country.  CRS agents offer years of experience, demonstrated success and advice to help you make smart decisions about selling your home.  They have both a high volume of sales and high number of transactions, as well as advanced training.

I am pursuing the Certified Commercial Investment Member designation.  The CCIM designation is an international one awarded to certified professionals in commercial real estate brokerage, leasing, asset management, valuation and investment analysis.  I have completed all 185 hours of the required graduate-level curriculum and am currently pursuing the attainment of the required level of qualifying experience for the award of the designation.

Biographical Information
Professionalism, integrity and great service are my values when serving you.  As a banker for 28 years and President and CEO of two financial institutions for 10 years, I have been responsible for financing thousands of residential and commercial properties.  I have also been responsible for selling, building and renovating hundreds of bank-owned properties.

My wife Caroline and I have lived in Vero Beach for eleven years and believe it to be one of the most wonderful places on earth (and we have lived in and seen a lot of places).  We live in a golf community, the Indian River Club, with a great golf course and some of the friendliest people anywhere. We have three wonderful and accomplished grown children (two with Ph D's and one with a JD) and seven fantastic grandchildren.  (Am I a proud father and grandfather or what?)

I have served on the National Board of Directors of America's Community Bankers and the Board of the Ohio League of Financial Institutions.  In northeastern Ohio, I was president of the Boy Scouts of America, Chairman of the American Red Cross and Chairman of Junior Achievement.  I also served on several boards such as The United Way, the Regional Chamber of Commerce and the SCOPE Senior Citizen Centers.

I currently serve as Vice Chairman (formerly Chairman) of the Economic Development Council of Indian River County and as Secretary of the Veterans Council and on the Professional Standards Committee and on the Governmental Affairs Committee of the Realtors Association of Indian River County.  I am Past Chairman of the Grievance, Political Action and the Governmental Affairs Committees.  I was awarded "Rookie of the Year" and was nominated for "Realtor of the Year" by the Realtors Association. 

I am a retired Air Force Reserve officer with a Bronze Star from service in Vietnam, with 15 years as a radar controller (10 years airborne) and eight years as a logistician with five years duty in the Pentagon as a long-range, global strategic planner.
